♡ Favorite Fashion Magazines, Recommendations + Guide! ♡

One of the best seasons for magazine sales is summer. At least, that's what I believe. The magazines stacked neatly in magazine holders near registers and on lines... The real temptation for our beach and poolside reads! 

The magazine world has become so great that there's countless, fabulous magazines out there. Personally, I don't enjoy reading gossip magazines. Being an avid fashion enthusiast and magazine reader (especially in the summer), my personal favorites are Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and InStyle. Here's why: It seems that they're timeless magazines filled with pictures, fashion, and content! Here's a review of what I think about many of the fashion magazines out there. If YOU have any trouble choosing a subscription for one of the magazines, I highly suggest buying 1 issue of each and reading them over to see which fits your taste... but also read this guide! It might help :)

SEVENTEEN:

The 1st magazine that i ever subscribed to was Seventeen Magazine. At the time, I was about 10 years old. I loved the relatable articles and the youthfulness of the entire vibe of the magazine. Its articles aren't exactly timeless, however they do relate most to the younger generations. For example, they have this "Embarrassing Stories" Column where they have embarrassing teen stories, which helps teens realize that they aren't the only ones. Seventeen has tips for the beginners in fashion, beauty, health and other relatable topics new to teens. Lastly, its interviews are about heroes/survivors and the most popular celebrities sharing their hard journeys to their careers. It's definitely an outlet for teens to have a place to relate to. It's definitely targeted towards a younger audience.

ELLE:

One of the heaviest magazines I own! It seems that they have the MOST pictures. It mainly emphasizes fashion. It does contain a variety of interesting articles. However, I feel like ELLE is 80% pictures and sponsors from high-end brands. If you enjoy looking at pictures and carrying around a slightly heavier magazines, ELLE's your choice!

THE KNOT:

Now, not everyone would "subscribe" to this magazine because it's targeted towards bridezillas and wedding planners. However, it contains one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPHY AND PICTURES that I have ever encountered. Flipping through the pages of this magazine makes me feel SO happy and joyful because 70% of it is wedding-related. However, there are dresses for parties in it too! It's a very clean and sharp, visually-appealing magazine. Easily, one of my favorites if you're very passionate about gowns and learning about the wedding side of fashion. It's simply a scrap-book like, perfect magazine!

COSMOPOLITAN:

Cosmopolitan is targeted towards an audience from late teens and older. It has modern pictures, promotes a lot of fashion brands, and contains easy, quick beauty tricks and recipes, and has very interesting articles from politics to fashion designers. Lots of variety. One of the most unique features about this magazine compared to other magazines is that the magazine focuses on healthy relationships ;)

VOGUE:

I love Vogue SO much. One reason being the editor-in-chief is Anna Wintour, a fashion icon. This magazine has many pictures focusing on HIGH FASHION/COUTURE. Its pictures are so fantastic, sharp, and artsy that it can capture celebrities (Cara Delevingne, Pharrell, etc) in an artistic, antique setting, and you don't even notice that they're celebrities. You feel like they're just models capturing a vibe. It embraces the beauty and artistic features of fashion. Plus, every few pages is an actual article. I call it my Bible... IT'S ONE OF THE CLASSIEST MAGAZINES, and my favorites. :)

BEST FOR THOSE PASSIONATE FOR FASHION!

GLAMOUR:

I haven't read glamour SO much to summarize the differences it holds. It's like a mix between Seventeen and Cosmo because it captures youthfulness (not THAT young though) AND glamorous, modern fashion. 

INSTYLE:

I've always had a little place in my heart for this magazine because it's filled with content and the magazines seems to share equal sections relating to beauty, health, fashion and articles. Overall, it's a very REALISTIC magazine because the tips, tricks and advice are things you genuinely think about and can easily pull this tips into your actual life.
