♡ Book Review! Perks of being a Wallflower! ♡
(NO SPOILERS)
Hey Y'all! I'm determined to get back in the groove of blogging. Why not start with something I've recently done? So, recently, I've read "the Perks of Being a Wallflower," (I know, I know. Book and movie's been out for a while. I'm so late on the bandwagon). But I finally got the chance to read it! For me, it was a short and sweet book. It wasn't one of those deep, mind-blowing books out there. But it felt like I saw a friend (main character) Charlie, grow up and mentally mature over the course of a year or so. It was written in diary-entry form, so it's similar to a collection of personal anecdotes. Although the concoction of anecdotes seems to have no exact focus point, it functions as an insight into Charlie's thoughts. Charlie, just like an other teenager, thinks and encounters all types of circumstances and writes about anything that he's thinking of. He's an incoming 9th grader who undergoes normal teenage thoughts: siblings, academics, parties, girl trouble, and social problems.
Overall the book, the stories flowed very well. I LOVED the ending so much because it was THE perfect ending.
Short and sweet!
I recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy a short read. It's a cute book!

♡ Beauty Blenders: Worth It? ♡
Beauty Blenders... All of us beauty fanatics have the hype for the beauty blender and how magical it is. Here's the real question: Is it REALLY worth it? Or is it overrated?
First of all, I've used the Beauty Blender and the knock-off sponges shaped like a beauty blender. Personally, I always have cakey foundation on whenever I apply it with a brush... Or the foundation may be a shade off but you can tell the big difference between your face and neck/chest. Also, I hate it when the foundation on my nose gets really cakey (one of the most oily areas of my face). So it's very hard to get a balance for it to not look cakey, but also have the flawless, "real" finish. So I decided to try sponges...
First, I tried the knock-off beauty blender shaped sponges. I wasn't amazed at the results at all. Worst of all, I felt like the sponges got dirtier and dirtier inside because the bacteria/leftover foundation (even after a few washes) would roughen the sponge. If you decide to not use your sponge for nearly a month, it becomes as hard as a rock...
♡ Save Time Choosing Outfits! #TimelessTricks ♡
To the peeps who love to look fabulous every day,
We can spend an hour trying to figure out what outfit to wear . There's so many different factors we have to consider! From the weather, the temperature, hours needed to spend in the outfit, to our moods and favorite statement pieces, we struggle with picking out the right outfit. But why not save this hour and shorten it to a maximum of 15 minutes?
During my freshman year of high school, I used to spend 30 minutes trying to pick out an outfit to wear for school. All throughout my life, I had to wear the same uniform every day to school. As a fashion lover, picking out the right outfit and the right accessories was crucial in defining my mood for the day. However, these 30 minutes would be taken out of my bedtime. I soon realized that if I can only take 5-10 minutes to pick out my outfit, I would gain 20 more minutes to sleep! Personally, I can function without caffeine, but not without enough sleep. So, I figured out a few solutions that I use to shorten my outfit-choosing process.
1. Pick Outfit out the night before school.
This is probably the easiest solution for beginners. Instead of waking up and spending 30 minutes to pick out your outfit, then realizing you don't like it and change it (while also running late) can be one of the most stressful things that can happen to you in a day. Picking out an outfit at night will let you sleep better overnight because you won't have that stressful factor of not knowing what to wear in the morning! It eliminates unnecessary stress while improving your quality of sleep!
2. Weekend Planning
I always try to set aside 45 minutes every weekend to completely clean my room and organize my closet for the week. If I had the spare time, I would hang complete outfits on hangers and hang them in order in my closet, so that they're handy and easily accessed throughout the week. Keep in mind, I consider the weather/temperature, events/presentations that I'll be attending. I also have plan Bs for those days where you debate whether to wear a dress or leggings.
3. OOTD Pictures
I'm sure we've all heard of OOTD (Outfit-Of-The-Day) Pictures all over social media. However, this method does not require you to upload them to the internet. You can take pictures of your outfits for personal use! Simply take a picture of every single outfit you would wear over the course of a few weeks. Soon, you'll have an entire ALBUM of outfits to choose from! It'll be your own look-book! Whenever you want to choose an outfit, you can easily access these pictures for a general idea of your outfit, then tweak it here and there (shoes, accessories, etc) to make it a new look! Easy!
These are my top 3 suggestions. Let's stop the unnecessary stress!
Hope this helped!
Luv you!

♡ Self-Therapy #FLYFebruary ♡
Self-therapy is anything that can bring happiness to your day and not just make you feel productive, maybe stressed, but also happy. Some days, we have a day that goes wrong, which is important to have self-therapy. No matter what goes wrong, you'll know that you had your dash of self-therapy, alone time, a time where you just relaxed and ignored the world while staying in tune with yourself.
I usually squeeze a span of self therapy at the end of the day. Mine lasts 30 minutes. I'm always the most awake at night, so feeling relaxed at the end of the day offers a giant element of happiness to my life and gives me better sleep. My dose of alone time and peace consists of either doodling, painting, or reading a book/magazine. In a world filled with technology and on-going notifications and texts, we tend to lose ourselves in the social media world. So I dedicate my alone time with no disturbances by leaving my phone, laptop, tablet, etc. in the living room and going somewhere else to 'treat myself.' I feel like this is a reward for me and keeps me relaxed. No matter how busy I am throughout the day, this calms me down and keeps me at a peaceful state of mind.

Self-therapy doesn't need to be reading, drawing, or staying away from technology. It can be eating a macaroon, exercising, taking a bath, or wrapping the day up with 1 episode of your favorite tv show (just 1 though! we don't all have the time in the world).
This sprinkle of self-fulfillment and happiness is a part of this month's theme: #FLYFebruary (First Love Yourself). It adds to the element of mental, social and physical relaxation. Although your day might've been the "worst day of your life," it's still worth living.
You should try adding this self-therapy to your day's schedule! It could range from a few minute of meditation to a 45 minutes episode! It can be the 1st thing to start your day or the last thing to wrap up your day!
Enjoy the day and relax :)
Live, enjoy & love life
xoxo,
C
PS. An upcoming post is going to deal with morning sleepiness ;)
Stay tuned!

#FLYFebruary: First Love Yourself February
Today, social media has shaped our society where everyone has a specific standard to "beauty." Being beautiful apparently means piling yourself with tons of makeup, wearing six inch stilettos every day, and starving yourself to achieve a perfect waistline. But doesn't maintaining a fake persona every single day tire you out? In this era, everyone has problems, whether it be physical, mental, or social. So what if you have panic attacks? So what if you have acne? So what if you have uneven skin tones? So what if you have a giant birthmark? We all have our own flaws, whether it be seen or unseen. Despite these flaws, there's always someone who will love you. But it has to start with loving yourself. True love is being accepted for who YOU are.
My Pet Peeves!
To start off the New Years, I thought I would share something fun and personal on my blog! So, here's my top 8 pet peeves! :)
1.) Honk-Honk at the Dinner Table/Sneezing or Coughing w/o covering the mouth
When people blow their nose REALLY loud, which ends up sounding like a horn more than a nose,
Homemade S'mores!

Your New Year's Resolution: Be Happy and Live Life :)
We all have our tough and dragging days. But don't let that be your life. The only way to make life not boring and full of meaning is to be happy. To start off the upcoming New Years, I thought this could be added into your New Year's Resolution List: Be Happy! Here's a few remedies:
1. Get involved with something new! Experiment! Get occupied! Instead of sitting home and looking at the blank sky on a rainy day, try cooking/baking something new! Reorganize your closet. Try painting and sculpting. The point is, try something new. It's not about being good at it. It's about enjoying the adventure and the process of experiencing something new!
Agenda Organization 101! #BacktoSchool
This has been heavily requested by many of my friends, so I thought I would share it with everyone! :) #BacktoSchool
As a person who loves using and organizing agendas, I have a lot of experience and I have a set system I've used for nearly 3 years already. I've always preferred agendas over tech-calendars/planners just because it's much easier to customize. This system keeps me on task while not spending a crazy amount of time trying to figure out the symbols or colors to use when I'm writing down each task, especially considering the limited amount of time you have between classes.
I would suggest for you to use symbols/colors YOU are used to. This can allow you to have a smoother transition into this organization system :)
MATERIALS NEEDED: (completely customizable)
1. Agenda- I'm using the Lily Pulitzer Agenda. It has lots of space for you to write homework, tasks and to dos. And the pattern is just super fun and cute :) The organization in the agenda itself is already neatly organized so your work is cut out for you. Choose an agenda that works well for YOU!
